Brazilian veterinary surgeon, Dr Roberto Fecchio, 35, has operated on some of the worlds most sharp-toothed predators as well as hippos, rhinos and elephants. The daring dentist has just launched a new practice for big cats which aims to improve the oral hygiene and quality of life for the fearsome feline predators and lower their risk of stomach, heart and liver problems. He is one of only a handful of wildlife dentists in the world and his pioneering work includes replacing decaying choppers with metal crowns or prostheses. Replacement teeth are made from gold nickel and chrome while glass and metal ceramic are used for crown restorations.
