By Dean Wilkins & Alex Bradbury Holy voley, it's a real-life Pied Piper, this little vole has been captured on camera working on his music talents like a fairytale character. The minute rodent has been seen whittling away from his nest in a Kent woodland, and caught the eye of amateur snapper Mark Bridger. And after watching his movements from a far, Mark noticed his likeness to the German fairytale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. And in between posing for pictures, the vole leaves his home inside a water pipe and scours the nearby habitat for fruits and berries. Mark, 44, said: "Voles are very very nervous creatures so you have to be extremely still and try to not make any sudden movements or they will be off and won't come back for a while. "The vole in the hole was sitting there for about three to four minutes eating the weed that he pulled from the pond into the pipe, they also love a blackberry and will pull them from overhanging branches at this time of year and if you're lucky they will sit and eat them. "Seeing him run around and playing a little flute was a treat and I loved every minute of it even though I sat for hours in freezing cold water for most of the day waiting for a 10 minutes encounter, but it was worth it in the end."
