By Dean Wilkins He's a real Puss in Boot! Living life in the fast lane proved to be too much of a good thing for one mischievous moggy who had to be saved after getting stuck in a sports car. Cheeky chap Chips had to be cut free after curiosity got the better of her and she became trapped in the inside lining of her owner's car boot. The cat's owner became concerned after she disappeared from her home in Pentwyn, Cardiff - when cries were heard from coming for the boot of the MG sports car emergency services were alerted. An RSPCA officer called the fire and rescue service and the owner's car mechanic to cut the animal free - fortunately once a panel was removed the distressed creature was cut free. Despite a suffering few superficial injuries Chips is expected to make a good recovery. RSPCA inspector Danielle Baber said: "Cats can get themselves into all sorts of scrapes and tight spots, but this is the first time I've seen one trapped in a sports car. "I'd really like to thank the fire and rescue service for once again giving us the benefit of their expertise and patience." Whether curiosity almost killed the cat as she searched warmth from the car fan or there was a particularly tasty treat she was sniffing out, just what possessed the cute cat to squeeze her way into the lining remains a mystery. But her baffled owner was grateful for rescue team's efforts who pulled Chips out with minimal fuss. ENDS
