ANTARTICA - UNDATED: Two humpback whales take a deep dive in the Antarctic Peninsula.  THESE keen tourists got more than they bargained for, as a diving humpback whale's tail crashed out of the water metres from their boat. Two humpbacks slowly travelled down the northwestern coast feeding on krill when one spectacularly dived deep into the ocean. Startled onlookers were left gobsmacked as the giant whales tail fin - known as a Fluke - towered out of the water over their flimsy rubber boat. But despite thundering into the water and diving deep down for food, the tourists boat survived the near miss - much to the delight of those sailing in it. Canadian photographer Tony Beck, 58, captured the moment from another boat in the Antarctic Peninsula. Pro photographer and Tour Guide Tony, from Ottawa, Canada, said: "I've learned to expect the unexpected - those on the boat were smiling, many cheered and laughed." Three zodiac boats followed the humpbacks - which can weigh an astonishing 48 tons - as they meandered along the coast. Tony added: "The whales mostly just came to the surface, released their breath with a big blow, then submerged themselves for a minute or so.  "But after repeating this many times while feeding, they eventually arched their back and dove.  "Whenever I see Humpback Whales doing this I know that their tail follows them out of the water. "And poof they were gone for about six or seven minutes. When this happens, it's a real adrenaline rush."
